Ian Jeffrey - Poet & Party Animal
One of the few remaining beat poets from the Inter Zone A of the '69 hippy summer. He began his career as a professional performance poet at the Edinburgh Festival. Appearing at the Traverse Theatre, alongside Duncan McCrae, Russell Hunter and The Scaffold.On moving to London, his first gig was at the Roundhouse, sharing the bill with Brian Patton and Alan Ginsberg. While in London he met up with Nicky James and and formed an on-off song writing relationship that has lasted for 32 years.
Ma Heid's Wasted is the first of a trilogy, from his Red, White and Blue period. The second of the trilogy will be published and ready for sale in early 2006.
