Ian began his career as a professional performance Poet
At the original Traverse Theatre in the Royal Mile
Edinburgh along side Duncan McCrae,Russell Hunter
and the Scaffold.On moving to London his first gig was
In the Roundhouse,sharing the bill with Brian Patton and
Alan Ginsberg.While in London Ian met Nicky James
(Moody Blues,The Move and the Walker Brothers) and
began a writing partnership that lasted over 30 years and
included 6 albums on the Polydor label.
While living in Holland Ian penned the song Switch,for
Nancy Dee,which made the Guinness book of top ten hit

Ian now lives in Dorset.
